Teams protest against Ferrari’s flexible wing

Ferrari Rear Wing

Eight teams have launched a protest against Ferrari’s controversial rear-wing.

Television pictures broadcast this weekend in Germany appeared to show the wing on Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari flexing during qualifying. If the wing does flex, it would be a clear breach of rules which outlaw movable aerodynamic devices.

It’s now believed that all the teams – with the exception of Ferrari themselves and Red Bull – have written to the FIA in protest.

According to ITV, however, the FIA have ‘advised’ Ferrari to change the wing for the Australian GP and no post-race punishment will be meted out in Malaysia this week.

If Ferrari had placed higher in Malaysia (sp?), I think FIA’s response might have been different.
