Here we are again at the Detroit Motor Show 2006 - of course at the Ferrari pad. If you missed [Part 1] starring the FXX, check it out here
As promised, here it comes:
The F430 CHALLENGE STRADALE
Ever attended a Ferrari Challenge event? No? Well, now you can organize your own!
The ‘usual’ glass engine cover.
And the usual stripped down interior of a racing car.
One thing is for sure: if this was street legal, you’d be turning heads. And not because of your handsome smile!
Facts:
- Amusingly, in italian "Stradale" means "for the street". And this car is not street legal.
- The lightweight car (only 2,695 lb) uses the same 490-hp, 4.3-liter V-8 as the roadgoing F430.
- This car differentiates itself from the regular F430 because of adjusted fifth- and sixth-gear ratios, a more durable two-plate clutch, carbon ceramic brakes, permanently disengaged electronic traction and stability control programs, a stiffer suspension, a new exhaust, integrated pneumatic jacks.
- This car will run in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli racing series alongside the Ferrari 360 Challenge car next season, and the F430 will completely replace the 360 for the 2007 campaign.
